The birth plan is an important step for parents who are interested in taking an active role in the birth of their child. Meeting with a doula is a good way to ask questions about what is generally offered at hospital or birth center. The birth plan can help you mentally prepare for what will happen step by step when you enter your birthing space and can give your provider more information about your unique desires and requests. After the session you can discuss what you've prepared with your provider to make sure it aligns with your plan and the birth places policies.
